Goliath

Goliath is set in a small industrial town where crime-rates are high. 17-year old Kimmie is planning to leave the town with his girlfriend Jonna in search of a real job and a better life. Then his father is arrested and Kimmie is expected to take care of the familie by taking over his fathers drugs business. It's a task he's not ready for but how could he possibly turn his back on his family? The film depicts a teenagers brutal entry into adult life and examines aspects of social heritage and patriarchal structures, at a time when welfare is declining and Sweden is at a change.
