What we expect from you

  • Minimum availability: we ask that you are available for at least 3 half-days;
  • Shift times: we schedule you for a maximum of 5.5 hours per shift (except for set-up and dismantling, which take place from 09.00 to 17.00);
  • Suitability: for roles such as venue manager, hall coordinator and the Access Team, we also assess the volunteer’s suitability;
  • Preferences: we take your preferences into account as far as possible, but we cannot guarantee this.
  • Response: After registering, you will receive a response within 3 to 4 working days.

The benefits of being a volunteer

  • You’ll be part of a really friendly and fun group of volunteers;
  • You’ll receive your own crew T-shirt;
  • Depending on your shift times, you’ll be offered lunch or dinner;
  • Outside your shifts – provided you work three or more shifts of at least five hours each – you’ll have unlimited free access to the films being screened during the festival (provided there’s still space in the cinema!).
