King of Atlantis

Moving, funny and warm Swedish drama about Samuel, whose father is schizophrenic. The love and protection, with which Samuel has been taking care of his father for years, is moving, but weighs heavily on his shoulders. His young life is entirely dominated by his father, who's greatest delusion is seeing himself as the King of Atlantis. And Samuel as his prince. When Cleo enters his life, he can finally take a breath. He realizes he has the right to live his own life. But letting go of his father, whom he loves so dearly and who's so dependent on him, is easier said than done. The script was written by Simon Settergren, based on his own experiences with his schizophrenic father.
