Agnes Joy

Rannveig is unhappy in all aspects of her mundane and suburban life in Iceland. She's stuck with a job she hates and a marriage that is slowly dying. On top of that, she is constantly fighting with her adopted adolescent daughter Agnes, whose rebellious behaviour is primarily a response to the tension at home. It is hard for Rannveig to accept that Agnes is growing up, starting to live her own life and leaving her parents behind. When suddenly new and attractive neighbour Hreinn shows up at their doorstep, the whole family has to face some new challenges beyond their control.
