Ring of Dreams

His big hero was Hulk Hogan, who at the age of 6 inspired him to become a professional wrestler himself. Tengkwa is now training a new generation of Dutch show-wrestling superheroes in a world where fantasy and reality meet. With the prospect of fame and glory, but with little money to realize their dream only the diehards with an iron willpower and extreme perseverance will succeed. Among the wrestlers are also two Frisians: pro-wrestling veteran Jurn Simmons who's a national and international success and Jorne van der Kamp, who is now active as a referee. The film gives a moving and at times humorous glimpse behind the scenes of show-wrestling in The Netherlands, where boys and girls fight for their dreams and try to escape their daily lives.
