Q’s Barbershop

Q’s Barbershop is located in the heart of Vollsmose, the largest social housing project in Denmark, and is a popular hangout spot for the young Somalis of the area. The owner, Qasim, is from Somalia himself, and he makes sure that young people in Vollsmose have got style. In addition to a fantastic (and cheap) haircut, Qassim offers a listening ear, advice about the big issues in life such as love, relationships or education. No matter if you're an immigrant, a criminal, or a straight-A student, you need a cool haircut. And while he secretly dreams of a different future now and then, Qassim just goes back to his shop to make the world look a little better for his loyal customers, 9 hours a day and 6 days a week.
