Trine, a young northern Norwegian trumpet player, is invited to Oslo by an internationally renowned trumpet teacher. She is offered a free flight to reach the 1,500-kilometre destination, but for environmental reasons she refuses to fly. To reinforce her choice and arrive at her destination anyway, she decides to hitchhike. While practicing and studying, Trine meets inspiring people, gets to beautiful places and faces all the challenges of her alternative journey.

Through the entrancing scenes in which Trine plays her trumpet, this contemporary road movie oscillates between music film and activist manifesto. Setting the tone for the current climate status is something filmmaker Laurens Pérol is well known for; for instance, he is very much into green filmmaking and is currently writing a Green Dogma for filmmakers. He will therefore make his own trip to the Northern Film Festival by using public transport.
