In 1987, Jerry from Minneapolis is in financial jam. He has an unconventional idea to pay off his debts: hire two kidnappers to take his own wife and share the ransom that his rich father-in-law will pay with the kidnappers. The plan takes a different turn when a cop and two civilians get killed. As Jerry tries to navigate his mounting problems, Police Chief Marge starts an investigation, following Jerry’s traces. This snowy black comedy is a true Coen Brothers classic, and an perfect addition to our 'Freezing Frames' special that will make you shiver.
