Rose

In the fall of 1997, Ellen and her husband Vagn take Inger on a bus trip to Paris. Inger, Ellen's sister, is schizophrenic and lives in an institution. With the right amount of medication and avoiding too many stimuli, she is able to live a reasonably normal life. During the trip, Inger makes no secret of her condition, but not all of her fellow travelers can initially appreciate her ad remme, sometimes rude statements. Once she arrives in Paris, Inger turns out to have a hidden agenda and includes everyone in the search for an important person from her past. While Ellen and Vagn have their hands full with Inger's erratic behavior, she gradually manages to win everyone over and it becomes a heartwarming and memorable journey. Rose is a Danish feel-good drama from director Niels Arden Oplev.
