No Rest for the Wicked

On the remote Faroe Islands of 1862, young fisherman Baldur leads an austere life in a religious community. However, his life suddenly becomes less quiet when a stranger from Denmark sets foot ashore. Baldur is fascinated by this rugged whaler called Helge (Pilou Asbæk), who stirs strong feelings in him. A friendship and desire slowly blossom. But when fate strikes mercilessly, separating the two in a tragic event, the love between Helge and Baldur refuses to die. A dark force starts to increasinly threaten the villagers, who are desperately trying to keep this supernatural evil at bay.
