NHLStenden: European Student Shorts

NHLStenden: European Student Shorts

About 90 students from five European universities will visit Leeuwarden, to work together on exploring the European film business and, coached by professionals, to produce their own short films in just four days. On Friday afternoon these shorts will be screened during the Northern Film Festival. The participating students come from universities of applied sciences from Friesland, Belgium, Spain, Romania, Germany and Austria. Made in Europe, viewed by the world!

BIPs (Blended Intensive Projects) are projects in which students from various European countries work together on various topics. This year NHLStenden organizes two film projects. In the AHA Student Shorts students learn how to effectively develop a film script, to plan and execute shoots, and apply pre- and post-production skills. They  will also gain experience in teamwork, time management, and working with international peers. The New European Film Professional is a program for the next generation of European film professionals who want to change the game. It connects creative ambition with commercial insight and empowers participants to turn films into sustainable, audience-driven business cases that travel across borders. By bridging art, production, marketing, and distribution together, we build the skills, mindset, and collaborations needed for a strong, independent European film climate.

The screening is presented NHL, the spoken language English.
