Marjolein Robertson: Trows (WIP)

You encounter a magical fae being - what do you do?

A) Introduce yourself
B) Accept their ale
C) Show it your cool knife

If you did any of the above you have chosen poorly and are maybe also now dead.

To do better, survive and laugh, come to Shetland comedian Marjolein Robertson's newest show about magical creatures and folktales. Expect an hour of what Marjolein does best, weaving stand up and folklore together in an hour of magic, jokes and hidden meanings.

Marjolein was a finalist in Channel 4’s Sean Lock Comedy Award and BBC New Comedy Awards. She was shortlisted for the prestigious Sir Billy Connolly Spirit of Glasgow Award, and was awarded Scots Speaker of the Year in 2022.

On Thursday, during the Noordelijk Film Festival, Marjolein hosts a Storytelling Workshop, presented in collaboration with Podium Explore, in which you can participate and learn how to better tell your own stories!

‘Impish and upbeat, able to mine an everyday observation to almost absurdist lengths’ ★★★★★ (List)
‘A consummate storyteller with more than a hint of weird’ ★★★★ (Skinny)
‘Another hypnotic, lyrical piece of work, and as funny as ever’ (LMAOnaise)

NOTE: for this performance [you can already buy your tickets] in the presale!
