It's the day before Christmas en Vilde hangs out with friends when she learns that her mother has died. To avoid ending up in foster care, she is forced to contact her father whom she has never met. After a disappointing first meeting, she wants to escape as soon as possible with a one-way-ticket to Tokyo, the neon-lit city and epicentre of the enchanting anime-world she loves so much. But both Vilde and her father can't quite shake the emotional meeting. While we follow Vilde in the most difficult time of her life, you keep wondering whether the relationship between her and her father is lost forever.
