De kunstmatige vriendin (1h 15min.)

We invite you to experience an impressive multimedia journey with De kunstmatige vriendin (The Artificial Friend), performed by the Fries Project Orchestra. Inspired by Kazuo Ishiguro's novel Klara and the Sun, this performance blends live music with AI-generated visuals and an artificial narrator. As the orchestra plays, the story of Klara, an intelligent robot, unfolds among discarded machines - just like herself. The cinematic music, visuals, and AI technology immerse you in a futuristic world where the boundaries between human and machine blur.

De kunstmatige vriendin, celebrating its Dutch premiere at the Northern Film Festival, offers a profound reflection on our relationship with technology, robotics, and biotechnology. Step into this innovative experience and explore the emotional depth of artificial intelligence through the eyes of Klara.
