Miss Osaka

Director Daniel Dancik wants to take his audience to faraway places, and in Miss Osaka he succeeds in this literally and figuratively. In this paradoxical drama, a connection is made between Scandinavia and Japan by mixing different genres. Ines is a young woman with no purpose who kills her time in the wake of her partner Lucas, a specialist in solar panels. When Ines encounters a Japanese tourist named Maria, a special bond develops between the two and she sees an unexpected way out of the depressing rut she finds herself in. Ines can chase her dreams and leave everything behind in a new world, but not without consequences.
