Case Study: Jimmy

How do you navigate the ups and downs of filmmaking? Jimmy is a Dutch slasher film from 2024 with a captivating story. The creators, Tim Koomen and David-Jan Bronsgeest, initially landed a Hollywood contract with their short film Meet Jimmy (2018), but the experience was not as they had hoped for. After years of development and disappointment, they returned to the Netherlands and turned their challenges into an opportunity, crafting their feature film debut on their own terms. Abe-Luuk Stedehouder from the podcast Filmfluencer will host a live podcast session with the filmmakers.
