Imagine Waking Up Tomorrow and all Music has Disappeared

Well yes, try to imagine that. If all music, all instruments are suddenly gone, nothing is left but our voice. German director Stefan Schwietert shows the existential importance of music with the title of this cheerful documentary. Indeed, for the main character of his documentary, Bill Drummond, music is everything and everyone. As he drives through rural England, this philosophy of music reveals itself through the people he meets. The musician, formerly part of the successful band The KLF, asks random people he meets on the road if they would like to temporarily join his choir. Just with a note or a verse, they contribute to the piece Drummond is composing. At the end of his ride, it will be finished: the summary of his story, bound in song, sound and melody - without even an instrument.
