ISK
At the Noordelijk Film Festival, pupils delve into the world of film. They put themselves in the shoes of various characters and learn to watch films more consciously and critically. There is a programme tailored to each age group. A class visit is more than just an impressive morning out: we organise a post-screening discussion in the cinema or provide teaching materials. The school screenings will take place on 5 and 6 November at De Harmonie and Slieker. If there is high demand, we will schedule additional screenings after the festival has ended. You can register until 5 October.
Shorts Special: Bloemen van de Pomp & Koplopers x Lily
During this special session, pupils watch two short films that explore themes such as empathy, courage and pursuing your dreams despite setbacks. They will also answer ‘agree/disagree’ questions to discuss the themes from the films. This film programme includes a lesson to prepare for the cinema visit. Teaching materials are available for vocational education and ISK. The teaching materials contain questions and activities on empathy, dreams and being true to yourself. Recommended for: ISK, all year groups. Screening on Thursday 5 November.

Bloemen van de Pomp (17 min)
When Jason, a young street footballer with a bright future ahead of him, gets swept up in a seemingly innocent scheme for ‘easy money’, he finds himself in a moral nightmare that calls into question everything he stood for.

Koplopers x Lily (16 min)
Lily Yohannes (17) plays for Ajax! What’s life like when you’re one of the best-known young female footballers in the Netherlands – and just a teenager at the same time? We follow Lily in the run-up to an important match. As one of the youngest players ever, she’s competing in the UEFA Women’s Champions League and has been named Ajax’s Talent of the Year. With iron discipline, she sticks to a strict schedule of training, school and rest.
