Filmmaking at Risk & Artistic Freedom: The World is Watching
In collaboration with the International Coalition for Filmmakers at Risk (ICFR), NoFF is organising a session on current developments in artistic freedom around the world and will be talking to filmmakers who have managed to make their latest films under particularly complex and risky circumstances. Their films will be screened at this year's film festival in a special programme that invites viewers to reflect on the crucial importance of storytellers in today's world, a world that is in so many ways on fire.
Films that are part of the Noordelijk Film Festival program connected to this panel: Kyiv Soloists, To a Land Unknown, Mr. Nobody Against Putin, Die Mollner Briefe, The Swan Song of Fedor Ozerov, Yunan.
Speakers on the panel are actor Mouataz Alshaltouh, producer Karianne Berge and producer Iris Lammertsma. Jordi Wijnalda of the International Coalition for Filmmakers at Risk (ICFR) will introduce the panel, which is moderated by director and writer Mariia Ponomarova.
