Families Like Ours

Crisis in Denmark. The waters rise to unmanageable heights and the government decides to declare the end of the nation and evacuate the country. As the former citizens disperse, they are confronted with their new status as refugees and face seemingly impossible choices.

Thomas Vinterberg, the Danish master behind films like Festen (1998) and the Oscar winning Another Round (Druk, 2020), returns with the drama series Families Like Ours. The first episodes premiered at the Venice Film Festival and episodes 1 and 2 will be shown for the first time ever in the Netherlands at the Northern Film Festival. Especially for this occasion, Vinterberg himself is coming to the festival and will be interviewed before the screenings of the series.
