Spotlight Talk: Trine Dyrholm

Trine Dyrholm, the celebrated actress from films such as Poison, Kollektivet and Queen of Hearts, is coming to Leeuwarden! One of the names in Danish cinema, who time and again impresses with profound and unforgettable roles, will take you on a journey through her multifaceted career during the Spotlight Talk on Thursday 14 November. Discover how she brings her characters to life, listen to anecdotes about her collaborations with famous directors, and get a behind-the-scenes look at her most iconic films. This in-depth interview, interspersed with scenes from Dyrholm's films, will be conducted by film journalist Dana Linssen (NRC, Filmkrant).

Every year, the Northern Film Festival puts a director or actor (m/v) in the spotlight who has more than earned their place in the film world. This year Danish top actress Trine Dyrholm is guest of honour. Dyrholm has been the face of Danish cinema for decades and the festival honours her with a Spotlight Retrospective consisting of zes films: Poison, Birthday Girl, Festen, Kollektivet and Nico, 1988 will be screened during NFF; in the weekend before the festival you can catch Queen of Hearts in the Slieker film theatre. In addition, we present this special guest of honour with the 'Award for Special Contribution to Northern Cinema', which Trine Dyrholm will accept in person on the opening night.
