This psychological drama by filmmaker Morgan Grunefeld is about Jacks, a young woman who, driven by her quest for attention and love, is an easy target for the manipulative Loeän. Loeän himself did not have a very pleasant childhood and is now doing everything he can to realize his personal ideal of the perfect family. The short film KOUD BLOED (Cold Blood) shows that humans are irrational beings, who are driven by motives that are invisible to himself. We think that we act very consciously and that we always make deliberate choices and decisions, but our worlds are constantly manipulated by media, society, norms and values, education and disposition and our own psychological blueprint. Free will and choice must be fought for and often only surfaces when we are under extreme pressure.

In this absurd tragicomedy by Frisian director Jörgen Scholtens, Lenie (Anneke Blok) combats her loneliness by renting out her departed son's old room to tourists. Although she enjoys the company of her young guests, this has to be done on the sly because the local residents, played by Kees Hulst, Beppie Melissen and Frank Lammers, among others, hate tourists. Since their sleepy little town was renamed Little Amsterdam by the marketing guys, it has been crawling with suitcases. The foreign guests are not welcome at all and anyone who thinks differently is ostracized by the neighbourhood. Lenie must be extremely careful and she forces all her guests to enter the house via the fire escape without being seen. No one knows about Lenie's sneaky rental until an Irish tourist loudly tumbles down her fire escape.
