Köln 75 delves into the chaotic true story behind Keith Jarrett's legendary concert; his The Cologne Concert became the best-selling solo album in jazz history. It is 1975 and eighteen-year-old Vera Brandes, who has already produced and promoted numerous music concerts, faces her greatest challenge yet.

Against all expectations and the wishes of her conservative environment, the ambitious and fearless Vera risks everything to get the tempestuous Jarrett to the Opera House in Cologne. Despite an endless series of unforeseen problems, including a completely unsuitable piano, Vera continues to believe in the power of music and does everything she can to make this historic event happen. Director Ido Fluk delivers an energetic combination of biography and a touch of fiction, which simultaneously shows the pure willpower of a young woman and offers a fresh perspective on Jarrett's impressive oeuvre.

Köln 75 premiered at the 75th Berlinale earlier this year, was previously screened at the Internationales Film Fest Emden-Norderney and in October at the Leiden International Film Festival in the Emerging: Selections programme section. The film received four German Film Award nominations, including for Best Feature Film.
