The Incredible Snow Woman

The Norwegian film Everything Must Go, directed by Arild Østin Ommundsen, is a warm and sympathetic film about the challenges of letting go and reconciliation within a family. After the death of their composer father, Ellen and her two brothers gather at their childhood home to clear it out. What starts as a practical task quickly turns into a nostalgic tangle. As childhood memories and old conflicts haunt the house, each sibling is forced to reflect on what is truly important in life. Their father's music, beautifully performed by Thomas Dybdahl, serves as the emotional heartbeat of the film.
Everything Must Go captures the dynamics between siblings in a moving and humorous way and emphasizes the importance of clearing emotional baggage. Everything Must Go was the opening film of the Tromsø International Film Festival earlier this year and was also screened at the Göteborg Film Festival and the Helsinki International Film Festival: Love & Anarchy. During the 52nd Norwegian International Film Festival in Haugesund, the film won the Amanda Award for best music. Everything Must Go is the Friends Film of the 45th edition of the Noordelijk Film Festival.
