Dream Scenario

Nicolas Cage plays the role of his dreams - and especially those of others - in Dream Scenario, the latest film from Kristoffer Borgli (Sick of Myself, 2022). When extremely average, already balding biology professor Paul Matthews (fantastically played by Cage) suddenly appears in the dreams of others, his life changes completely. First his daughter dreams about him, then his ex-wife, and before he knows it, he stars in the dreams of millions of strangers who had never heard of this man before. It absurdly turns Paul into a celebrity overnight. Where this unexpected attention initially does him good, the professor soon discovers the downside of his sudden fame.

For the Norwegian film maker Borgli, it is his English debut. For this surreal comedy, Borgli workes with a star-filled cast and with producer Ari Aster, who we know from Midsommar and Beau is Afraid.
