Small Things Like These + Première voorfilm Vastelander

In a small Irish village in the 1980s, coal merchant Bill Furlong (Cillian Murphy) gets caught in a moral dilemma when he discovers a dark secret at the local laundries. Directed by Tim Mielants, known for Peaky Blinders, Small Things Like These brings a subtle but poignant exploration of responsibility, guilt and courage. Small Things Like These will be screened three times during the festival, and before the screening on Saturday night there will be a premiere: in 2023 director Tobias Raaij won the Filmkick competition with his plan for a short thriller. This past year he finished his film Vastelander, which will premier at the 44th edition of the Northern Film Festival, in the presence of cast and crew.
