Masterclass: Thomas Vinterberg

With a seemingly endless list of national and international awards - including an Oscar, BAFTA, three-time Best Danish Film, the European Film Award for Best Film, and a César for Best Foreign Film - the visit of this director is truly icing on the cake of the festival program.

Oscar-winning director Thomas Vinterberg, known for films such as Another Round (Druk, 2020), The Celebration (Festen, 1998) and The Hunt (Jagten, 2012), is coming to Leeuwarden to present his newest work Families Like Ours. A first in The Netherlands, The Northern Film Festival will screen the first two episodes of this series, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival. In this exclusive interview, the influential co-founder of Dogma 95 will discuss his work with film journalist Hugo Emmerzael. Be sure to get your tickets quickly, as this event will sell out.
